PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition having a structure stably controllable from nano-meter order to micro-meter order. SOLUTION: The polyphenylene sulfide resin composition is composed of (A) a polyphenylene sulfide resin having a molecular weight falling within a specific range and an alkali metal content falling within a specific range and (B) a thermoplastic resin selected from polyesters, polyamides, polyetherimides, polyamide-imides, polyimides, polycarbonates, polyether ketones, polythioether ketones, polyether ether ketones, polyphenylene oxides, polysulfones and polyether sulfones, and has a bicontinuous phase structure having a structural period of 0.01-1μm or a disperse structure having a particle-to-particle distance of 0.01-1μm.
