PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately inform an opening state of a car door of an elevator by changing a state of sound generation in accordance with the degree of opening/closing of the car door. SOLUTION: This elevator door device is provided with a car door position detection device (rotary encoder) 6 for detecting the position during opening/closing of the car door 4 installed in an elevator car 1 so as to be openable/closable and outputting a position detection signal; a sound generation device 7 for generating sound along with start of opening of the car door 4; and an amplifier 8 for amplifying the position detection signal so as to change the state of sound generated by the sound generation device 7 based on the position detection signal output by the car door position detection device 6. The car door position detection device 6 gradually changes the signal intensity as the car door 4 is changed from the close state to the open state in accordance with the position detection signal. The amplifier 8 gradually changes the output state of the sound generated by the sound generation device 7 corresponding to the degree of the change in the signal intensity, in accordance with change in the signal intensity of the position detection signal output by the car door position detection device 6.
