The impulse transmitted to a secondary clock from a central unit is monitored, and the energy in it which is electrical, used to drive the second hand. The energy is also used for current feed to the requisite control equipment for prodn. of synchronisation. The energy in the impulse also charges a capacitor, which subsequently discharges as energy is used. The position of the second hand is monitored by an opto-sensor with an output signal being transmitted when the hand is in the prescribed position. The time for the second hand presence at the prescribed position is compared with the input of the impulse, and where there is no coincidence, the second hand is stopped, and started again by a following impulse. |
