Provided is a heat resistant component composed of a TiAl intermetallic compound. The main body of the component has a frictionally moving portion that frictionally moves on other components. The frictionally moving portion is covered with a coat whereupon a coat for covering the frictionally moving portion is deposited by electric discharge from a consumable electrode.
