<p>PURPOSE:To enable outputting at a specified dot area rate at any quantity of light by executing dot generation after correcting gradation data based on the quantity of the light to be used, then writing the dots into a bit map memory. CONSTITUTION:The data on character codes and character sides are sent from a character memory 6 to a character generating part 7 and the generated characters are written into the bit map memory 11. On the other hand, the gradation data is sent from a gradation data memory 8 to a gradation correction table 9 and the table is selected according to the quantity of the light set in a setting part 13 for the output quantity of light. The gradation data N' is then subjected to gradation correction. A dot generating part 10 generates the dots of the area rate corresponding to the gradation data N' and writes the same into the bit map memory 11. After all the characters and dots are written into the memory 11 in such a manner, the data are successively read out of the memory 11 by the quantity of the light set in the setting part 13 and the images are outputted. The images are thereby outputted without changing the tones of the dot parts even if the quantity of the light at the time of the output is changed.</p> |
