<p>An electrophysiology medical probes, which may be incorporated into a sys tem and used to perform an electrophysiology procedure, is provided. The med ical probe comprises an elongated member (e.g., a flexible elongated member) , and a metallic electrode mounted to the distal end of the elongated member . In one embodiment, the metallic electrode is cylindrically shaped and comp rises a rigid body. The medical probe further comprises a plurality of micro electrodes (e.g., at least four microelectrodes) embedded within, and electr ically insulated from, the metallic electrode, and at least one wire connect ed to the metallic electrode and the microelectrodes.</p> |
