<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new orally administrable DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) production promoter. <P>SOLUTION: A composition comprising an extract from at least one plant selected from the group consisting of Rosaceae Crataegus, Saururaceae Houttuynia, Vitaceae Vitus and Compositae Anthermis (Chamaemelum) is provided as the DHEA production promoter. Any one kind or two or more kinds used in combination may be the extract. As a specific example, a mixture of the extract from the 4 species of plants is preferable. For example, the DHEA production promoter can be used as medicines such as an anti-aging agent which is a skin ameliorating agent etc., an immunopotentiator, an anti-diabetic agent, an anti-osteoporosis agent, anti-arteriosclerosis agent, an anti-obesity agent, a sleep promoter and an anti-central nervous system agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
