<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily remove a curl that occurs in a recording medium, by a simple configuration without using a special sensor or the like even if forming an image on both sides of a recording medium P. <P>SOLUTION: A medium ejection means 5, by which a recording medium P with required images formed on one or both sides of it by an image forming section 3 is ejected to the outside of the apparatus at a suitable ejecting speed, is configured so that the ejection speed of a recording medium during one-sided image formation is made different from that during double-sided image formation.
