<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-diabetic agent suppressing a hyperglycemic state after eating to exhibit excellent effects of preventing and treating diabetes. <P>SOLUTION: The anti-diabetic agent contains, as an effective ingredient, 6-hydroxy kaempferol-3-O-glycoside (1) which is a flavonoid glycoside. The 6-hydroxy kaempferol-3-O-glycoside (1) has an α-glucosidase inhibitory and/or suppressive activity.
