<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively purify exhaust gas so as to realize a stable purifying effect of a catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: Pure gasoline is supplied to an injector 14 for combustion of the engine 10 and ethanol-mixed gasoline having a predetermined concentration of ethanol is supplied to a reforming injector 25. When it is judged that the temperature of the catalyst exceeds an upper temperature limit, a destination of fuel supply is switched by controlling first and second valves 42, 44, and the ethanol-mixed gasoline and the pure gasoline are respectively supplied to the injector 14 for combustion and the reforming injector 25 for a predetermined period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
