<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide and long stretched film which does not cause any thickness unevenness in the width direction and any variation of the orientation direction and is excellent in accuracy of optical characteristics, and in which the orientation axis is inclined toward a wind up direction within a predetermined angular range, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The long stretched film is composed of a material with a negative intrinsic birefringence value, has an alignment angle θ in 30-80° range with respect to the width direction, extending for at least 1,300 mm thereof, has 1.0° or less variation, and has an Nz coefficient in (-1.2)-(-0.3) range with 0.10 or less variation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
