PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display section from fluctuating, both in the vertical state and the horizontal state of the display section in a foldable portable terminal, wherein the display section is supported via a support mechanism onto a first case so as to perform switching operations in the vertical state and the horizontal state. SOLUTION: A guide plate 16 comprises a first guide groove 12, extending in the lateral direction and a second guide groove 14 extending in the vertical direction. On a rear side of a liquid crystal display section 2, a first guide pin 13 engaged into the first guide groove 12 so as to slide freely and a second guide pin 15 engaged into the second guide groove 14 so as to slide freely are provided. The first guide pin 13 comprises a holding mechanism 30 which holds the liquid crystal display section 2, in both the vertical state and the horizontal state of the liquid crystal display section 2.
