PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the communication load of a terminal performing communication and the other terminal, as small as possible, and to reduce the time required to establish target data communication when performing communication over a NAT (network address translation) in peer-to-peer communication in various network environments. SOLUTION: A first terminal transmits a communication connection request and NAT information, showing a NAT environment of the first terminal to a second terminal, NAT traversal information of the second terminal is received from the second terminal, and NAT traversal information fo the first terminal is determined, on the basis of the received NAT traversal information of the second terminal. The second terminal that performs communication can establish data communication, even under a NAT environment, and the time required until starting of data communication to increase or reduce the load to a communication line more than repeating try and error.
