PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage on a hood section while providing a thinner profile of a connector. SOLUTION: The connector has: a male housing 50 with the hood section 51 with an opening in the front and fixed on a printed board; and a female housing 10 fitted into the hood section 51, and also has: a hood extension section 60 arranged on an opening edge of the hood section 51 in a protruding state along an outer surface of the female housing 10 fitted into the hood section 51; and a regulation section (an inner peripheral wall forming a through-hole 21) arranged on the female housing 10 so as to sandwich the hood extension section 60 between the female housing 10 and the outer surface of the female housing 10.
