PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the quantities and denominations of all the bills and coins stored in a storage part, without recounting the bills and coins in the storage part. SOLUTION: Using the quantities of bills and coins by denomination counted by a dispensed bill counting part 4 for counting the quantities of bills and coins by denomination dispensed from each stacker 1 by each dispensing part 2 during a dispensing process and the quantities of normal bills and coins by denomination counted by an identification result counting part 5 for counting the quantities of normal bills and coins by denomination whose denominations are identified by a bill denomination identifying part 3, a rejected bill calculating part 6 calculates the quantities of bills and coins by denomination to be rejected. The calculated quantities of bills and coins by denomination to be rejected are added to the value of a counter storing the quantities of bills and coins by denomination stored in the storage part, to update the value.
