PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material excellent in productivity and having desirable coated surface conditions. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has, on one surface of a support, an image forming layer containing at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for the organic silver salt and a binder and at least one non-photosensitive layer, wherein≥50 mass% of the binder in the image forming layer is a polymer latex, the image forming layer contains a thickener and has an average thickness of≤14μm, and a maximum density of an image is≥3.0.
