PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life electrophotographic photoreceptor having high reliability by suppressing image quality defect such as density irregularity to maintain high image quality while being provided with a surface protection layer having high simple wear resistance, and to provide an electrophotographic process cartridge and an image forming apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is charcterized by having at least a photosensitive layer 12 formed on the surface of a conductive support 11, and further the surface protection layer 16 formed as the uppermost surface layer; wherein arithmetic average waviness Wa of a waviness face is 15 nm or less and the maximum cross section height Wt of the waviness face is 50-250 nm when the surface shape is separated into the waviness face and a roughness face at a cut off valueλc=0.1 mm.
