PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil strainer for an engine capable of making an opening position of a flow-in port for a flow-out port unchanged from the position set in advance, irrespective of precision in assembling an upper side casing and a lower side casing. SOLUTION: The upper side casing 9 and the lower side casing 7 are overlapped and integrated to form a flow passage 31 for letting oil 5 flow in its inside, and a filter 11 for filtering the oil 5 is provided between both casings 7 and 9. The inflow port 49 constituting a part of the flow passage 31 and positioned on the upstream side of the filter 11 and the outflow port 35 constituting a part of the flow passage 31 and positioned on the downstream side of the filter 11 are provided in the upper side casing 9 to communicate each other through the flow passage 31. On the other hand, an opening part 15 adjacent and opposing to the flow-in port 49 is provided in the lower side casing 7, and the lower side casing 7 around the opening part 15 is integrally joined with the upper side casing 9 around the inflow port 49. A flow-in pipe part 45 having a suction port 47 at a tip by using the inflow port 49 as a terminal is integrally formed in the upper side casing 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
