PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crescent capable of automatically locking an auxiliary lock in locking by handle operation. SOLUTION: This crescent 10 is arranged in a meeting stile 43 of an inner sash 4a out of inner and outer sashes arranged in a frame body 1. A box part 11 is provided with a rotary body 21 rotating in response to the rotational movement of a handle 13, and an operation body 50 slidingly operable between a first position and a second position. The operation body 50 has a rotation checking part 52 energized in the direction toward the first position from the second position by an elastic body 54 and checking its rotation adjacently to an abutting part 21d formed in the rotary body 21, and an engaging part 21e opposing energization by the elastic body 54 by engaging with the rotary body 21 when positioning in the second position.
