PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a conjugate fiber excellent in strength, stretch elasticity and transparency. SOLUTION: This method for producing a conjugate fiber is characterized by comprising (1) a process for melting an elastomer resin (A) having stretch elasticity and polytrimethylene terephthalate (B), respectively, and then spinning through a spinneret having two nozzles to form a conjugated fiber whose core and sheath portions comprise the elastomer resin (A) and the polytrimethylene terephthalate (B), respectively, (2) a process for thermally treating the conjugated fiber spun in the process (1), and (3) a process for drawing the fiber thermally treated in the process (2).
