PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for production which can safely and inexpensively be practiced on an industrial scale, in a method for producing 2-aryl-2,2-difluoroethylamines, which comprises directly reducing 2,2-difluoro-2-arylacetamides, which can be produced relatively easily. SOLUTION: The method for producing the 2-aryl-2,2-difluoroethylamines represented by the general formula (2) is carried out as follows: the 2,2-difluoro-2-arylacetamides represented by the general formula (1) are reduced in the presence of an acid in an aprotic polar solvent with sodium hydroborate.
