PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device capable of restraining limitation to communication and limitation from the communication, and allowing range finding of high precision. SOLUTION: This method is for detecting a distance to a radio communication device of a communication mate by a propagation lag time of a radio wave, and is provided with a process for detecting the finish of a radio communication frame, based on a carrier wave, and for measuring the first frame finish time from transmission finish timing of the first radio communication frame transmitted by own-self, up to reception finish timing of the second radio communication frame from the radio communication device of the communication mate. and the second frame finish time from reception finish timing of the transmitted first radio communication frame in the radio communication device of the communication mate, up to transmission finish timing of the second radio communication frame, and a process for computing the distance to the radio communication device of the communication mate, based on a time difference between the first frame finish interval time and the second frame finish interval time.
