WASTE GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a purification catalyst to be used suitably for indoor evacua tion type combustion device by depositing an oxide of Mg and Fe to the inside of pores of a carrier, then depositing fine powder of a perovskite type compound oxide together with an alumina type additive for carrier to the surface of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:An oxide consisting primarily of MgFe2O4 is deposited to a honeycomb carrier consisting of a heat-resistant ceramic and having many pores in the inside by impregnating an aq. soln. mixture of Mg(NO3)2 and Fe(NO3)3 into the honeycomb carrier. Fine powder of a perovskite type compound oxide expressed by the chemical formula ABO3 (wherein A is a rare earth element or an alkaline earth element; B is a transition element) is deposited together with an alumina additive (e.g., alumina sol, etc.) for the carrier to the surface of the honeycomb carrier. The catalyst obtd. by this method has both oxidizing function and purification function for NO2, so the catalyst is suitable for an indoor evacuation type combustion device.
