Plastic component plasma treatment involves holding back an organic gas release (9) resulted during plasma treatment as condensate (10) by a condensate trap (11), which is arranged in a suction line (2). The condensate trap is fed, ignited and burnt, where the combustion residues produced during the burning of the condensate are discharged into the atmosphere over the vacuum pump (3).
