<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smooth special reproduction utilizing an I picture even in a device having low throughput to streams of all programs included in a program even if only the stream of one program in programs has I picture position information in the multi-view broadcasting of digital broadcasting conforming to an MPEG standard. <P>SOLUTION: When the special reproduction of an AV stream of the multi-view broadcasting is performed, the control section of a video recording and reproducing device refers to the I picture information of the main stream of the program, refers to the position information of an I picture required for the special reproduction and the next I picture, and reads the stream of a program between them. The stream of a program to be reproduced from the stream is separated and extracted for taking out the I picture, and the special reproduction of the program to be reproduced by the I picture is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
