<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video server device capable of mutually replacing between a video image and other than a video image. <P>SOLUTION: In a video server device 1, video data 3a, voice data 3b, subtitle data 3c, and auxiliary data 3d are recorded independently. At the time of playback, the above data can be played back in arbitrary combination. Namely, when recording by use of the video server 1, each of the video data, the voice data and the auxiliary data (including subtitle data and ancillary data) is recorded as one material. At the time of the playback, the playback is performed by combining the materials.
