<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly deploy an airbag without being influenced by the folded shape of the airbag, or without allowing a bulk housed condition of the airbag, or without setting a top end of a pillar garnish downward. <P>SOLUTION: An airbag 20 deploys in a compartment inside direction along a guide wall (first airbag guide means) 36M provided to a center pillar garnish 36. Also, a mounting part 36K of the center pillar garnish 36 is fixed to a top part 38B of a center pillar inner panel 38 by a clip 48, so as to restrain a top end 36A of the center pillar garnish 36 from being deformed to inside of a compartment. Also, a top part 62D of an airbag guide (second airbag guide means) 62 mounted to the center pillar garnish 36 is deformed (deployed) in the compartment inside direction, so as to cover the top end 36A of the center pillar garnish 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
