<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a bottle and the bottle and an air bag apparatus, wherein the desired shape can be obtained and cost reduction is attained. <P>SOLUTION: The bottle member is formed by applying backward extrusion processing to a portion to be worked for diameter-shrinkage in a post-process, so that the inner diameter in this portion becomes from R to P(<R). Further, the above portion having the inner diameter P can be formed with the cut-off working. In the connecting portion of the portion having the inner diameter R and the portion having the inner diameter P in the bottle member, an inclining part is preferably formed. The inclining part consists of an inclining surface running in a circular direction of the inner peripheral surface of the bottle member.
