<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving system which can reduce power consumption and improve receiving quality. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving system comprises: an equalizer for compensating distortion of a received signal caused by multipath; an input part for inputting a first indication for setting the equalizer to an ON state or a second indication for setting it to an OFF state; a judgment part for judging whether or not application of the equalizer is recommended based on at least either the received field strength measured at signal reception or a bit rate error calculated from the received signal; a control part for setting the equalizer to either the ON state or the OFF state depending on the indication given in the input part of the judgment result made in the judgment part; a selection part for selecting an equalized signal when the equalizer is in the ON state or the received signal when the equalizer is in the OFF state, from among the received signal and the equalized signal obtained by equalizing the received signal by the equalizer; and a decoding part for decoding the signal selected by the selection part from among the received signal and the equalized signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
