NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of obtaining a high output while keeping an average voltage high in battery discharge, by reducing the current collection resistivity of a positive electrode plate compared with the case that a positive lead is connected to the end of the positive electrode plate in the length direction.

SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has an electrode group comprising a positive electrode plate having a positive active material and a negative electrode plate wound through a partition membrane. The positive electrode plate has a positive active material not-yet-applied area at the center thereof in the length direction. The positive lead is connected to the positive active material not-yet-applied area.
