CATALYST BODY, CATALYST STRUCTURE, AND AIR CONDITIONER EQUIPPED WITH THEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst body which has a high removing rate of carbon monoxide and long service life and filters out harmful substance such as the carbon monoxide when used in ordinary indoor environment.

SOLUTION: The catalyst body allows catalyst fine particles to be held at the surface and/or at the inside of a hygroscopic coating layer which is formed by dispersing zirconium oxide powder in a hygroscopic substance. The catalyst body is provided with a base body, the hygroscopic coating layer containing porous silica having a hygroscopicity which is formed by dispersing the zirconium oxide powder formed at the wall surface of the base body, and the catalyst fine particles. The catalyst structure allows the catalyst fine particles to be held at the surface and at the inside of the hygroscopic coating layer.
