<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative type lithographic printing plate original plate which enables image recording and on-machine developing by laser exposing, is excellent in chemical resistance and exhibits high plate life in UV ink printing. <P>SOLUTION: The negative type lithographic printing plate original plate is characterized by having a photo-polymerizing layer comprising a polymer compound having a cyclic structure derived from maleimide and a hydrophilic group in a molecule on the substrate. The photo-polymerizing layer preferably comprises an infrared ray absorbing agent, a polymerization initiator and a polymerizable monomer.
