<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vehicle body side part structure with improved flexural rigidity against impact force during a lateral collision and overturning of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle body side part 1a is provided with an opening part 2a on a vehicle cabin side surface of a pillar 2 forming a closed section by joining a pillar inner panel 21 and an outer panel 22, and is equipped with a seat belt retractor 32 inserted and installed in the pillar 2 from the opening 2a. The seat belt retractor 32 is stored in a box-like member 4 having a flange part 4a and a rear bottom face 4b and is disposed in the opening part 2a.
