PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier capable of suppressing an output variation during muting. SOLUTION: A power amplifier comprises an amplification circuit which outputs an output signal amplifying an input audio signal to a load and a driving voltage generation circuit for generating a driving voltage of the amplification circuit, and the driving voltage generation circuit reduces the driving voltage according to a mute instruction signal, instructing the stop of an audio output outputted to a mute circuit which operates to stop the audio output from the load.
