PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load control attachment and a collision energy absorbing device, capable of absorbing collision energy corresponding to various vehicle types even when using a FRP columnar member having a common shape, while suppressing a load change. SOLUTION: The load control attachment comprises an inner peripheral face constraining member 10 having a protruded portion 13 continuously formed on a first base face 12 via a first curved face 14 having a predetermined curvature radius, and an outer peripheral face constraining member 30 having an opening portion 32 continuously formed on a second base face 36 via a second curved face 33 having a predetermined curvature radius. The first base face 12 and the second base face 36 are combined to oppose each other via a space forming member 50. An inner peripheral face 102 of the FRP cylindrical member 100, where the protruded portion 13 is inserted into a hollow portion 101 and the end is inserted into the opening portion 32, is constrained by the first curved face 14, and an outer peripheral face 103 is constrained by the second curved face 33.
