PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave power generation system and a wave power generation plant enhanced in power generating efficiency more than before. SOLUTION: This wave power generation system 100 comprises a gyro wave power generation device 1; a floating body 2 formed in a square ring shape having longitudinal and lateral lengths different from each other; flanges 3, 4 formed at the general centers of the short sides of the floating body 2, respectively; and a chain 6 having one ends connected to the flanges 3, 4 and the other end from which an anchor 5 is suspended.
