PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in pumping loss to improve fuel consumption after the start-up of an engine. SOLUTION: When an ISC required intake-air volume has become greater than a predetermined value A due to catalyst warm-up control or increase in electrical load during idle operation after starting an engine, or when a required intake-air volume has become greater than a predetermined value B due to accel operation, an opening of TCV (tumble control valve) is controlled to an opened side than the opening at start-up. Thereby, increase in pumping loss is suppressed and fuel consumption deterioration is suppressed. Then, where there is no increase in the ISC required intake-volume due to the catalyst warm-up control or increase in electrical load, or there is no increase in the required intake-volume due to the accel operation, the opening of TCV is set at a closed side as the elapsed time becomes longer after the start-up of the engine and the warm-up proceeds. Thereby, improvement effect of burning state is increased to increase fuel consumption effect by controlling the opening of TCV to a closed side corresponding to decrease in required intake-volume with the progress of the warm-up.
