摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior wall reinforcing structure of a building and a strengthening construction method, which make earthquake resistance and thermal insulating properties concurrently exerted by integrally constructing an aseismic strengthening layer 11 and a thermal insulating layer 12 on the existing exterior wall 8 of the building, and which enable a repair cost and a construction period to be reduced by half by concurrently performing repair work exclusively from the outside of the building. SOLUTION: A reinforcement maintaining frame is fixed on the outer periphery of the opening of the building, and lower and upper edges 11B and 11A of adhesive mortar layers 15 and 17, in which a fiber net 16 is internally mounted, are fixed to the sill 3 and girder 4 of the building by means of a fixing nail 18, respectively, so that the mortar aseismic-strengthening layer 11 with the internally mounted net can be constituted throughout the exterior wall 8 of the building. The thermal insulating layer 12 is closely bonded to the surface of the aseismic-strengthening layer, and coated with fireproof mortar 20, so that the earthquake resistance and the thermal-insulation strengthening wall 9 can be constituted.
