The invention relates to a method for fixing structurally bonded workpieces (11, 12) by means of an energy beam (21), wherein at least one adhesive layer (17) is provided between the workpieces (11, 12), and the evaporation temperature of said adhesive layer (17) is lower than the melting temperature of the workpiece (11, 12) material, wherein during an evaporation phase of the adhesive (17), an evaporation channel (24) is maintained in the melt bath (26) in the working area (19) of the energy beam (21) for an evaporate to flow out, such that at least the adhesive layer (17) located in the working area (19) is evaporated and removed through the evaporation channel (24), and such that the adhesive layer (17) attains a viscosity which, owing to the gas pressure in the evaporation channel (24), prevents the evaporated material from entering into the adhesive layer (17) provided between the workpieces (11, 12). |
