An LCD device and an electronic apparatus are provided to reduce the deterioration of display quality caused by the taper portion of a phase difference layer in pixels having a transmitting display area and a reflective display area having the phase difference layer. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes plural pixels(100a) and a phase difference layer(27). Each of the plural pixels includes a transmitting display area(100t) and a reflective display area(100r). The phase difference layer is an inner side of a pair of substrates and is at a position where the phase difference layer is overlapped with at least the reflective display area. The phase difference layer is formed over the reflective display area of two adjacent pixels at least in the plural pixels. A first end portion(27c) of the phase difference layer is positioned in a pixel of the two adjacent pixels. A second end portion(27d) opposite to the first end portion is positioned in a pixel of the other side. |
