A unit for aligning a printed circuit board and a chip mounter having the same are provided to align the printed circuit board by controlling travel directions of transfer belts, thereby reducing an alignment time. A unit for aligning a printed circuit board(50) includes a transfer unit(100) and a control unit. The transfer unit transfers the printed circuit board by supporting a plurality of regions of the printed circuit board along a longitudinal direction of the printed circuit board with align marks(10). The control unit controls the transfer unit to be transferred in different directions in the plurality of regions of the printed circuit board. The transfer unit includes a pair of transfer belts(110,120) and a pair of driving motors(131,132). The pair of transfer belts are positioned at both insides of a guide(71). The driving motors drive the transfer belts.
