<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and projector capable of miniaturizing and attaining low consumption power. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 4 includes: a light source having a first light-emitting section 22r for arranging at least one solid light source 26r and emitting red light, a second light-emitting section 22g for arranging at least one solid light source 26g and emitting green light, a third light-emitting section 22b for arranging at least one solid light source 26b and emitting blue light; a switching section 28 connected in series with at least one solid light source 26 of respective light-emitting sections 22; a variable constant-voltage power source 30 connected with the solid light source 26 and driving the light source; and a light source adjusting section 33 having a switching adjustment section 35 for switching ON/OFF of the switching section 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
