<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start a drive system including an engine and a motor as a drive source without starting the engine when a motor cruise is commanded during the system stop. <P>SOLUTION: When the start of the system is commanded, the drive system is started by turning on a relay provided on a power line to a motor from a high voltage battery (Step S400) and the start processing is ended without starting the engine when a signal level of a signal from a motor cruise switch stored in a RAM at a time of system stop is different from that of a signal SW input at a time of system startup, that is, the motor cruise is commanded from the motor cruise switch during the system stop (Steps S410, S420, S440, and S450).
