<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous paper printer which certainly discriminates an overlapped page to occur in such a case that recovery printing is executed. <P>SOLUTION: The continuous paper printer is provided with a paper discarding mechanism to discard paper on a conveying route of continuous paper, and is switchable between on and off of the operation of the paper discarding mechanism, by an instruction from an printing controller.
