<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of network resources relating to a frame transfer device of the so-called "common buffer type" for tentatively storing a transmitted frame into a FIFO memory, corresponding to the frame of a common buffer constituted of the plurality of FIFO memories, reading the frame from the common buffer and transmitting it. <P>SOLUTION: The frame transfer device is provided with a timing means for measuring the time from the time of storing a new frame, at the head of a corresponding FIFO memory provided so as to be made correspond to each of one or more FIFO memories among the plurality of FIFO memories; and a frame abandonment means for annuling the frame position at the head of the FIFO memory, corresponding to the timing means when the measured time by one of the timing means exceeds the prescribed detention allowable time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
