PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the clogging of an exhaust port provided in the bottom of a cap or the internal clogging of a pump by sucking in a liquid from a nozzle while covering a head with the cap so as to prevent the clogging of the nozzle, and thereby suppressing the hardening of the sucked-in liquid. SOLUTION: Characteristically, this liquid jet apparatus comprises a head in which a supply hole for supplying a liquid containing a liquid hardening inhibitor for suppressing the hardening of the liquid is formed, a cap for covering the opening of the supply hole, and a suction portion which is connected to the cap so as to suck in the liquid.
