PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator door closing suppression device allowing an elderly person and a physically handicapped person to get in/get off an elevator at ease. SOLUTION: The elevator door closing suppression device comprises a door motor for opening/closing a door of an elevator, a door closing circuit for driving the door motor in a door closing direction when the door is closed, a door opening circuit for driving the door motor in the door opening direction when the door is opened, a control balance computing means 17 for detecting the overload and detecting the fluctuation of a load in a car by the in-car load computation, and a door closing suppression device 19 which is provided on the door closing circuit to suppress the door motor not to run the current during the door closing suppression operation when the predetermined in-car load fluctuation is detected by the control balance computation means.
