PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to prevent the time required in the correction of a head position from becoming long-term. SOLUTION: The head position-correcting method of a discharge device loaded with a head for discharging a liquid material as liquid droplets has a height position preparatory detection step for preparatorily detecting the height position being the position of the head in a height direction with respect to the discharge device, an image recognizing step for imagewise recognizing the reference mark provided to the head in the direction along the height direction on the basis of the preparatory detection result of the height position, a plane position correcting step for correcting the plane position being the position of the head on a plan view with respect to the discharge device on the basis of the imagewise recognition result of the reference mark and a height position detecting step for detecting the height position after the plane position correcting step.
