PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting mechanism of a storage shelf, which is capable of preventing sudden natural-falling of the storage shelf when something goes wrong with the lifting mechanism of a liftable storage shelf and reducing noise in a narrow space such as a toilet. SOLUTION: This lifting mechanism of a storage rack has the storage shelf 14 having an open front face, a lifting mechanism 31 for lifting/lowering the storage shelf between a prescribed upper position and lower position, and a front board 12 supported independently of the storage shelf and covering the front face of the storage shelf at the upper limit position of the storage shelf, wherein the lifting mechanism 31 has a motor 32, drive force transmission means 36 for transmitting a driving force of the motor to the storage shelf to lift/lower the storage shelf, and a constant force spring 44 disposed independent of the motor and the driving force transmission means and supporting the storage shelf between the upper limit position and the lower limit position.
