PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broom including a bristle body having elasticity required for cleaning without being coated with an adhesive for simple structure and manufacture. SOLUTION: A bristle body 20 of the broom is formed by arranging many bristle fibers 21 flat and folding the bristle fibers in two across an elastic resin plate 25 into a flare in which the tips of the bristles open. A handle 23 is attached to the base end of the bristle body through a cover 22. The elastic resin plate 25 has a base end side plate portion 25A positioned within the cover 22 and fixed to the cover 22 with staples 33 together with the bristle body 20, and a front side plate portion 25B extended from the cover 22 to the side of the tips of the bristles so as to be elastically deformed, and the bristle body 20 is given elasticity required for cleaning by the elasticity of the front side plate portion 25B.
